ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Nyrea' Liferidge is the Founder and CEO of GUAMI Fit
In 2012 Nyrea' Liferidge began volunteering at Randolph Elementary School. Before her children were old enough to attend, she volunteered in the classrooms, provided free fitness and nutrition programs, and created videos featuring Randolph students for childhood obesity awareness and prevention.
After a long career in business and the military, Nyrea' created GUAMI "Get Up & Move It" for Seniors, Adults & Children in 2014. Coach Liferidge also created a cheer team for girls ages 4-17, specifically for Childhood Obesity Prevention & Awareness.
As a result, she became an Official Program Advisor for Michele Obama's "Let's Move Active Schools" Program, and for the NFL's "Fuel Up to Play 60" Program.
In January, 2016 Nyrea’s company, GUAMIfit, Inc. was 1 of only 20 sites in the US selected to partner with President Obama's Council on Fitness Sports & Nutrition.
Nyrea' has a Bachelor of Science degree in Network Technology and an MBA in Management. After serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Nyrea' gained over 10 years experience in Marketing and Project Management. She has managed IT Projects with budgets up to $100M for Department of Defense (DOD), Pentagon (Air Force Pentagon & Communications Agency), Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC), PEO-EIS Navy, Washington Headquarter Services, and the US Capitol Police.
Nyrea' created a fitness and nutrition program at Quality Living Services (QLS) in Atlanta for the largest senior fitness class in the US.
Nyrea’ also worked as a Program Director for President Obama’s Fitness Challenge and the "I Can Do It!" Program.
